About Us

Hi, we are Bruce and Sandra Campbell and have been pleasing guests at  Fat Bruce's Bakery & Eating Kitchen in Ripon for since  2006.
 
 We started by remodeling an 1870's Italianate building in the center of the Watson Street historic district to house our unique cafe that features scratch made rolls for our sandwiches, the worlds best brownies ( in 10 different varieties), cookies, scones, and pastries . The building served as a general store at the turn of the century, a bar and grill and then a pet store. After 8 months of hardwork we were able to open our cafe. soon crowds came and our 35 seat restaurant was busting at the seams. Three years later we purchased the adjacent building to the south, knocked out 18 inch walls of  stone between them, moved our bakery cases, added a dedicated bake shop in addition to a coffee roaster, espresso machine, and more tables.
 
We believe evey item from our in-house roasted beef and turkey, to our scratch made sopus and bakery, to our fine selection of coffees and espresso drinks made with green coffee beans roasted right in our very own coffee roaster, is of the highest quality and meant to be enjoyed in a relaxed, freindly, casual environment.
